當遇水時，水在這個紙板上不浸潤，組成水點滾落，從而到達防水的感化。然則，蠟對紙纖維的附著力并不好，特別是當拔水劑被稀釋了30倍當前，其固含量只需1.5+，紙表面纖維只需很薄一層被蠟包裹。另外因為蠟乳液中蠟的粒徑通俗都比通常的高分子乳液粒徑大，要往紙纖維深處浸透也難，同時拔水劑通俗對明礬一類化學品敏感，在紙表面每每很快破乳而沉淀下米，因此拔水劑中的蠟粒子絕大局部只在紙面上很薄的一層存在。

在有外磨擦力的感化下，蠟容易被磨擦掉，顯露無蠟包裹的纖維，防水后果大大降低 了加強蠟對紙纖維的附著力，在拔水劑中每每有松香衍生物或羧化高分子乳液，它們既對紙纖維有很好的粘附力，與蠟又有較好的相溶性。如許，它們的加入可增進蠟在紙纖維上的附著性，同時假如對蠟結束改性，如將其氧化、基化，也有類似感化，都可使蠟對紙纖維的附著力增加。然則必須指出的是，便是增加了這些步伐，拔水劑在如許的濃度下所組成的仍不是一個防水膜層，因此在碰到磨擦，如紙箱在搬運、堆碼過程中遇磨擦，每每會使這一防水表面獲得感化。這便是為什么把涂布拔水劑的這種紙箱定爲暫時性防水紙箱。今朝，拔水劑在一些紙箱廠已經(jīng)是廣泛應用，并成爲一道基本工序。

涂布拔水劑大批應用次如果受到如下四個方面的影響：拔水劑的和可機涂性；拔水劑保持了紙張的天性，與今后回歸天然的支流合拍；拔水劑對紙箱的收受接管無晦氣影響；拔水劑的防水后果對于通俗紙箱的應用完全可以勝任。
If the large-scale application of coating extractant is affected by the following four aspects: the price and machine coating ability of extractant; the extractant keeps the nature of the paper, which is in line with the trend of returning to nature in the future; the extractant has no bad influence on the acceptance of cartons; the waterproof effect of extractant is completely competent for the application of popular cartons.
然而，必須指出的是，在一些特別情況中應用的紙箱，如需要；東庫的紙箱，需要在高濕情況中存放的紙箱，需要海運的紙箱，在應用拔水劑時就要鄭重了。在實踐中已發(fā)現(xiàn)有涂拔水劑的紙箱，從凍庫掏出后，紙箱發(fā)火形變，激發(fā)經(jīng)濟糾紛的事例。因此在舉薦客戶采納什麼防水處理時，應充分思考客戶紙箱的應用情況。
However, it must be pointed out that the cartons used in some special cases, such as those in dongku, those stored in high humidity and those transported by sea, should be used seriously. In practice, it has been found that the cartons coated with water extraction agent, after being taken out from the freezer, are inflamed and deformed, causing economic disputes.
